George Wright Golf Course in Hyde Park, Boston is a classic 18‑hole public (municipal) course designed by Donald Ross, opened in 1938. It’s built on former Grew estate land and was one of the monumental WPA (Works Progress Administration) projects of its time—complete with dynamite, infill, drainage systems, a 3-mile stone wall, and a grand Romanesque‑style clubhouse
